WELCOME TO D.N. POLYTECHNIC

D. N. POLYTECHNIC is an autonomous, non-profit, non-political and non-sectarian Organisation set up in 1975. It has been registered under the Bombay Public Trust Act: 1950 on 22nd January 1979 (Registration No. E -3412).

Since its inception the Organisation has been involved in various training, development and awareness programs across India. Organisation has been grooming young entrepreneurs, mainly from socially and economically backward class, in the field of industry. It also strives to seek and help potential entrepreneurs by increasing their interest in vocational training.

The Organisation believes that providing vocational training is a catalyst in solving the problem of unemployment. Hence, during the period 1975- 2006, approximately 25,000 youth have been trained in the various fields of Income Generating Activities and have gained employment successfully. D.N. Polytechnic has also rich experience in imparting need based vocational training. It has well equipped practical laboratories, modern tools & equipment and trained technical staff.

  • My name is Pandya Sejal. I have a 5 year old son & 3 year old daughter. My husband was a driver and died in an accident. Due to this my family was both financially & emotionally shocked. The village where I used to live had many restrictions on widow & my in-laws were also not supportive, hence I came back to Ahmedabad, at my father’s place. My father’s monthly income was only RS.10000 and hence I thought I should do something for earning, but I was only 8th pass out. Due to that it was not possible for me to get job.

    One day a faculty from D.N. Polytechnic came for door-to-door advertisement in our society and from that I came to know about courses offered by DNP under CSR initiative are free. I visited the centre and took admission in 3 months course of Sewing Machine Operator (SMO) and now I am able to earn at least Rs.5000 per month after completing the course.

    I thank each and every faculty of DNP & the management of D.N. Polytechnic for giving me a new life in which I can live independently & stand on my legs.

  • My name is Dhuriya Nilam Laltaprasad. I have studied up to 10th only. I do have a sewing machine at my home & I was also able to operate it. I used to do small stitching work at home. One I came to know about D.N. Polytechnic Education Trust from a pamphlet in which there was advertisement about Fashion Designing course. I went to its branch and after taking information regarding the same I took admission in the Fashion Designing course of 2years. After completing my course now I am able to design the dresses & earn up to 5000-6000 per month.

    This has happened only due to the support of my faculties and D.N. Polytechnic.

  • My name is Alvira Kuresha & presently I am a student in D.N. Polytechnic Education Trust in the course of Beauty Assistance, which is run under Godrej Salon-I & Saath. I belong to a Muslim family & I was not allowed to study further, hence I am only 7th pass out. I was very keen to study further, but, due to the fear of our caste my parents denied. One day my friend told me about D.N. Polytechnic, Maninagar branch & I went there & took the information of all the courses which they offered. I found my interest in Beauty assistance course & convinced my parents to let me learn that and I took admission in the same.

    The best thing I find in DNP, is that they don’t only teach us a particular course, but, along with that there are many other extra activities which they make us do, which each & every time leads to fill us confidence and new ideas and new creativity & many more. Though I am not allowed to do job after completing the course, but I am sure that I will open my own salon at my home & at least earn that much, that I can take out my own expenditure.

    I thank each 7 every faculty member of DNP for their support & for each & everything that they taught me & to the girls like me.
